We design Colchester bathrooms that suit the house they live in – roll-top baths and encaustic-style tiles in Lexden villas, crisp wet rooms in modern Stanway homes.
Bathroom Renovations in Colchester
What we see in Colchester homes
Period homes in Lexden and around Castle Park often have generous bathrooms with high ceilings – perfect for a freestanding bath, exposed shower valve and panelled walls. We source traditional-style sanitaryware that looks original but performs like modern kit.
For newer homes on the edge of the city, the brief is usually to turn a builder-grade bathroom into something that feels bespoke: concealed cisterns, niche shelving, warm underfloor heating and lighting that works at 6am and 10pm.
- Heritage-style bathrooms for period homes
- Upgrading builder-grade new-build bathrooms
- Underfloor heating and layered lighting
FAQs
Bathroom Renovations in Colchester: FAQs
Can you fit a freestanding bath upstairs in an old house?
Usually yes. We check the joist direction and span, and where needed add strengthening before the bath goes in. A filled cast-iron bath is very heavy, so we always survey first.
How soon can you start my Colchester bathroom?
We agree a firm start date with you when we send your quote, and plan the programme around your dates wherever we can.
